“Das Theater an der Wien – Verwandlungen eines Musiktheaters (Transformations of a Music Theater)” is the history of this remarkable theater from its founding by Emanuel Schikaneder in 1801 until its reopening after a full renovation in 2024, put in context with the history of the cultural landscape of Vienna and its urban and social environment. Book presentation on 26 November 2024 at the venue “Die Hölle” (“The Hell”) in the theatre’s souterrain with a conversation between Peter Heilker, vice-director of Theater an der Wien, and the author of the book, Andreas J. Hirsch, with a reading by the actress Petra Morzé and examples from the musical history of the theatre performed by Anne-Fleur Werner and Witske van Tongeren.

Die Ausstellung „Chroniken des Unsichtbaren“ stellt Werke der Künstlerin Judith Nicolussi und des Fotografen Andreas J. Hirsch gegenüber.
