A DROP OF HOPE – Re-Inventing the Art of Peace
Gen-Z-Portraits and beyond
The project “A DROP OF HOPE – Re-Inventing the Art of Peace” – portraiture by photographic artist Andreas J. Hirsch – focuses on members of a younger generation, who were born around the turn of the millennium or later. For the photographic series A DROP OF HOPE they were portrayed with an object that for them is connected with the topic of “peace” and in an environment, where they feel at ease; many of them have chosen a place in nature. Their gazes are directed towards a future, which is uncertain for all of us – many different emotions shape the expressions.
The series “A DROP OF HOPE – Re-Inventing the Art of Peace” was created in 2025 and follows up on the photographic project “LOVE OVER HATE – The Art of Peace”, which Andreas J. Hirsch had realized in the years 2016/2018 – works from which had received an Honorable Mention from the 15th Julia Magaret Cameron Award in 2020.

Das Porträtprojekt „A DROP OF HOPE – Re-Inventing the Art of Peace“ des künstlerischen Fotografen Andreas J. Hirsch ist Menschen einer jüngeren Generation gewidmet, die rund um die Jahrtausendwende oder danach geboren wurden. Sie wurden für die Fotoserie „A DROP OF HOPE“ mit einem Gegenstand, der für sie mit dem Thema Frieden zu tun hat, in einer Umgebung porträtiert, in der sie sich wohlfühlen; viele von ihnen haben Orte in der Natur gewählt. Die Blicke der Personen sind in eine – für uns alle – ungewisse Zukunft gerichtet – vielfältige Emotionen prägen den Ausdruck.
Die Serie „A DROP OF HOPE – Re-Inventing the Art of Peace“ entstand im Jahr 2025 und knüpft an das fotografische Projekt „LOVE OVER HATE – The Art of Peace“ an, das Andreas J. Hirsch in den Jahren 2016/2018 realisiert hat – Arbeiten aus der Serie hatten 2020 eine Honorable Mention beim 15th Julia Magaret Cameron Award erhalten.
